In 2006, Tina Constable organized a “Thanksgiving-in-a-Box” food drive. She encouraged members of the Huguenot Church and other faith groups to donate dinner goods for needy families to celebrate the holiday. The effort soon grew from dozens to a thousand boxes.

Tina receives the Pelham Quality of Life Award. HMC volunteers pose with a sampling of boxes.

Family Services of Westchester and the Girl Scouts of Pelham soon joined T.I.A.B. and partnered with Manor Market in Pelham. Participating houses of worship are the Pelham Jewish Center, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Catharine’s, Community Church of Pelham, and Christ Church, in addition to box donations from people in the broader community.
