DESCRIPTION:THANKSGIVING-IN-A-BOX   2019 \nGOAL:  825 BOXES \nHelp us feed 825 families in Westchester this holiday season!! \n  \nThe annual Thanksgiving-in-a-Box food drive for needy families\, now in its 14th year\, will once again be an interfaith Pelham event.  This year the drive will be coordinated through Huguenot Memorial Church\, the Pelham Jewish Center\, Our Lady of Perpetual Help\, St. Catharine’s Parish\, Christ Church\, and Pelham Community Church. The Pelham volunteers will be partnering with Family Services of Westchester and providing boxes of food to families in FSW’s Port Chester\, Tarrytown\, Mount Vernon\, Yonkers\, and Pelham locations.  Manor Market will once again be fulfilling boxes and helping the coordination. ** \nWe are asking volunteers to assemble a box of food for a family of 6-8 people.  Last year\, we were able to provide much needed food for 800 families and we are hoping to do the same again but we can only do that with your help!! \n  \nHOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?  It is really simple! \n  \nSTEP 1:               Contact Tina Constable and let her know you’d like to put together a box! \n(there is a sign-up sheet in front of the church library as well and in the church kitchen near Spotlight Gymnastics) Tina Constable      917-215-9543 (tconstable@prh.com) \n  \nSTEP 2.               Buy the specific food items (outlined below) and pack the box. \n  \nSTEP 3.             Bring the box to the Huguenot Memorial Church library.  Boxes can be dropped off between 9-5pm from Saturday\, November 23- Tuesday November 26\, 2019. \n  \nIf you are interested in helping deliver the boxes on  \nWednesday morning November 27\, 2019\, please email tconstable@prh.com. \n  \nThanksgiving-in-a-Box items include:  \n(NOTE: Everything will fit inside the box except for the ham) \n\n1 pre-cooked sliced spiral ham (8-10 pounds – you will find these in the meat section of your grocery store. Please\, no canned hams)\n2 (28-32oz) bags of rice\n3 (15 oz) cans corn\n3 (15 oz) cans peas\n1 (5 pound) bag of potatoes –approximately 12 potatoes\n1 (3 pound) bag of apples – approximately 8-10 apples\n1 (1 pound) box of pasta\n1 (24 oz) jar of tomato sauce (any kind)\n1 bag/container of cookies (Oreos and the like kind of packaging are perfect)\n2 (64oz) containers juice (please no cider or anything that needs to be refrigerated!)\n\n  \n** Manor Market will have competitive prices for all of the box items.  If you are going to be away or if the box is too difficult to carry please call 914-636-2208 and they will put a box together for you and get it to the church.   Cost is $69. DESCRIPTION:This year’s Christmas Pageant will be an integral part of our family Christmas Eve worship service Monday\, December 24 at 4:00 p.m.  All children and youth\, in the Four-Year-Old Church School class through Senior High\, are invited to be part of the cast for our annual Christmas pageant.   All of the children’s and youth choirs and ensembles will participate:  the Cherub\, Angel\, Celebration Choirs\, Cantata Choir and Gabriel Ringers.  We invite children in the choirs\, Sunday School and community to join.We invite children in the choirs\, Sunday School and community to join. Speaking parts (second graders and up) will be chosen by November 23rd and the first rehearsal for speaking parts will be on Sunday\, November 25 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. \, and continue afterwards on Sundays 12/2\, 12/9\, 12/16\, and 12/23\, all from noon until 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Those who don’t want a speaking part can have a non-speaking part and the rehearsals will be on Thursday\, December 20th at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday\, 12/23 at noon. Thank you!
