From newborn to teenagers to adults, we care about the education, health and spiritual growth of all God's children.
For Babies and Toddlers
Each Sunday morning our Infant and Toddler Room is staffed by professional childcare workers who provide high quality and loving care. Both employees work for the Huguenot Nursery School and are trained in early childhood development. They are CPR certified.
For Preschool and Elementary Children
Church School classes are held every Sunday during worship. Children are included in the beginning of worship, then gather at the front of the church for the "Children's Moment" and then go with their teachers to their Church School classes. In all grades, the curriculum is chosen to be both age-appropriate and engaging.
A class for 8th grade students who would like to commit to the joys and responsibilities of Church membership is held each year. Confirmation is open to any student who wants to learn the vocabulary to best state their faith, and in turn become a member of our congregation.
Weekly meetings of both Junior and Senior High Youth take place throughout the program year and involve food, discussion, games, service opportunities and prayer. Annual Mission Trips and church retreats are offered as well. For more information about fellowship for teens, please visit our youth ministry page.
Children's Choirs and Music Ministries
Through music, children learn Bible truths and learn to praise God. They discover how they use their own abilities to enrich the worship experience for the congregation. Please see the Music Program area of the website for more details.
Family Service Nights
Several times a year, children and caregivers gather in the church library for a shared meal and to do an activity that serves those in need. These events frequently tie in to broader Mission work, such as wrapping Christmas presents for the Camp Viva reunion, or assembling personal care items kits for a Midnight Run. These events provide both a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, and a chance to teach our children about the importance of helping the less fortunate.
Huguenot offers a variety of adult education classes, including series held before or after worship, and special series helping adults develop their own faith. A variety of education programs are also run through the Presbyterian Women's group, including Bible studies and an annual women's retreat.
